FAQ: Finances

Due to passage of the CARES Act, employees may update their Dependent Care FSA contribution amount due to their recent change in their need for childcare.  Make this change by processing a life event in OnCore.

The CARES Act now allows over-the-counter (OTC) drugs and medicines and menstrual care products to be considered eligible medical expenses for FSA accounts. If you have paid out of pocket for one of these items since 3/1 and still have the receipts, you can file a claim for reimbursement. For expenses incurred during the previous plan that ended on 2/29/20, the deadline to submit claims is now June 30, 2020.

FAQ: Resources

Here's a helpful resource to help you figure what works best for you while working from home.

Aetna has put together a COVID-19 toolkit full of information ranging from managing anxiety to resources for parents and children.

from Resources For Living

Distressing events can affect everyone who lives through them. Even people who experience these events only through the media can have emotional and stress reactions.

When unexpected events happen, feeling stressed, anxious or sad is understandable. We thought you might find these Minnesota-specific resources helpful in light of recent civil unrest.

We’re also opening our phone lines to non-members who have been affected. They can call our liberalized services number 24/7 at 1-833-327-2386.

We’re always here to provide you with emotional support and referrals to helpful resources. You can also check your Resources For Living website (username 'Westmont College' and password 'eap') for a list of resources under Tools > Find support > Community and national resources.

In addition to Anthem's COVID-19 website, they have multiple resources available, which are listed below.

COVID-19 Mental health resource hub
Anthem has joined with Psych Hub, a free digital hub to help members with the stress resulting from COVID-19. This hub brings together a variety of resources to help members cope with social isolation, job loss and mental health issues.

Aunt Bertha social support services
During this time, members may need help with food, housing, job training, transportation and other social support. Anthem is partnering with Aunt Bertha to connect individuals and families to social services in their communities. Members can access these services by visiting Aunt Bertha and entering their ZIP code.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP) resources
Anthem members who have access can go to their EAP website to access online seminars on emotional support and up-to-date links to news outlets and health websites. Other resources include helpful articles, child and eldercare resources, and legal and financial information. Members can access the website using the password EAP Can Help.

Locate a COVID-19 testing facility
Anthem members can quickly locate a COVID-19 testing facility near them with a locator tool by downloading the Sydney Care mobile app.

If you would like to see a behavioral health provider under your Anthem medical plan, instructions on how to find one in your network can be found here. Connecting with a Doctor Virtually
Members can use LiveHealth Online at no cost until further notice, and cost-sharing for phone or video telehealth visits is also waived. If needed, the app will connect you to a doctor through a LiveHealth Online video chat session or a Virtual Care text session (the first text session is free; additional text sessions cost $19) right from your phone. The doctor you connect with can help you understand whether you’re at risk for COVID-19 and let you know whether you need to visit a local healthcare provider in person for COVID-19 testing. You can also register/log in to anthem.com/ca and connect to LiveHealth Online.

COVID-19 Tests
If you need a COVID-19 test, it’s covered. Your Anthem health plan covers COVID-19 testing and the visit where you get the test with no out-of-pocket costs. If you’re diagnosed with COVID-19, your Anthem health plan benefits apply to treatments.

Prescriptions and Mail-Order Pharmacy
Members can refill most prescriptions early. Anthem is relaxing early prescription refill limits, where permitted, for members who wish to receive a 30-day supply of most maintenance medications early.

Additionally, you should talk to your doctor about whether changing from a 30-day supply to a 90-day supply is appropriate. You can get your 90-day supply through Anthem’s home-delivery pharmacy for most medications. Sign up online, or call the Pharmacy Member Services number on your ID card if you want to learn more.
