Hi friends! My name is Taryn DeJong, and I’m from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I’m a senior Biology major on the Pre-Med track and have loved learning everything from the tiniest cells to the vastness of the universe. I’m a part of the Augustinian Scholars Program and have really enjoyed being involved with Potter’s Clay (shoutout Medical Team!!!). When I’m not in class or studying, you can find me playing Monopoly Deal in a dorm room, swimming at East Beach, walking up Mountain Drive, or worshiping in the prayer chapel. I’d love to meet with you—whether you want to talk through class options, study strategies, or just need someone to help you process life at Westmont. I’m here to listen, encourage, and help however I can!

Hello! My name is Jackson Dreesmann. I’m a second-year religious studies and psychology major from Santa Barbara! I am an active member of the Spikeball and (hopefully) Pickleball Club here at Westmont while also being a part of the Augustinian Program. I spend a lot of my free time volunteering as a Young Life leader, reading, or hanging out with friends. I have enjoyed my first year at Westmont and have learned a lot about what it means to balance all the activities college has to offer. I would love to meet with you and provide a listening ear, whether it’s to talk through class options, support resources, study habits, or just Westmont life in general!
Fall Office Hours:

Hey there! My name is Kai Tanger and I come from a very diverse family in Simi Valley, California. My friends would describe me as funny, organized, and loyal. I am a third-year Biology major on the Pre-med track with a minor in the Spanish language. When I am outside of the classroom, you can find me making Choctaw seed bead jewelry, somewhere enjoying God's nature, or playing tennis. At Westmont, I am the Star Wars Club President, an Augustinian Scholar, and I went abroad to Querétaro México in 2024. My academic specialties are in organization, biology, English, and history; however, I find myself needing to spend more time on subjects such as math, art, and chemistry. My hope as your peer coach is to meet your specific needs, get to know you as a person, and watch you flourish!
