Art Department

Visual artists and art historians: find your authentic creative voice!

As a student in the Department of Art we encourage you to explore your talents in the midst of critical dialogue, freedom, and discovery. Our curriculum synthesizes foundational drawing and design skills, interdisciplinary exploration, experimental practices and social engagement. Students choose between an emphasis in studio art, graphic arts, or art history, and can tailor their upper division studies toward different aesthetic interests, leading towards paths including graduate school or professional life. We value studio life and creative discovery made in the context of a Christian community of scholars who, with curiosity and conviction, strive to live out grace and truth.
