About Intercultural Organizations (ICOs)

At Westmont, we are committed to growing in our capacity to meaningfully celebrate and educate on diversity and global engagement. Our hope is that by the time students graduate, they are equipped to confidently walk into whatever calling God has placed on their lives with all of who they are — the stories, experiences, and heritage that inform their unique identities — and be able to empower others to do the same.

At Intercultural Programs (ICP), we particularly focus on the identity facets of race, ethnicity, and culture. ICP's vision for the 2025-2026 school year is to boldly empower our communities in such a way that we are known for our compassionate and resilient pursuit of unity in diversity. ICP oversees six (6) Intercultural Organizations (ICOs) that exist to help support, educate, and celebrate our diverse communities.

Intercultural Organizations (ICOs)

Any registered Westmont student may apply to lead, be a member of or participate in programs organized by an ICO.  ICOs are and have always been inclusive, i.e. all students of all backgrounds are welcome to participate. Programs and meetings are framed and guided by the college’s learning standard for diversity and by the mission, vision and goals of Intercultural Programs.

This year, their vision is to focus on the spiritual and church histories and legacies of different cultures.
